Denby dale slates are produced from 10mm clean limestone aggregate, washed grit sand, ferrocrete cement and iron oxide pigments.

Denby dale roof slates production methods comply with BS 5750 / ISO 9000Denby dale slates are produced in accordance with the following standards: BS EN 490:1994 concrete roofing tiles and fittings – Test methodsSlate weight: approximately 110kg / m2 when fixed with a standard 3” head lap.Compression strength: average of approximately 35kn.Roof pitch: recommended minimum of 22.5 degree.Batten size: minimum 50mm x 25mm to BS 4471:1987 in not less than 1200mm lengths.
